Air Fryer Pigs in Blankets with Cheese Sauce

Ingredients:

For the pigs in blankets:

  • 12 mini sausages or cocktail wieners

  • 1 sheet puff pastry or crescent roll dough, cut into strips

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

For the cheese sauce:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp flour

  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the pigs in blankets:

    • Wrap each mini sausage with a strip of dough.

    • Brush lightly with beaten egg for a golden finish.

  2. Air fry:

    • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

    • Place wrapped sausages in a single layer (do not overcrowd).

    • Cook 8–10 minutes until pastry is golden and puffed.

    • Shake the basket halfway through for even cooking.

  3. Make the cheese sauce:

    • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

    • Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.

    • Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.

    • Stir in shredded cheese until melted.
