- Add a cup of vinegar to the toilet: Spread the vinegar over the inner walls of the toilet bowl. Vinegar essence is even more effective. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes – or even better, overnight if you don’t need the toilet.
- Add baking soda: Sprinkle half a cup of baking soda into the toilet bowl. The baking soda immediately reacts with the vinegar and begins to bubble.
- Brushing and rinsing: After the exposure time, brush the toilet bowl thoroughly with the toilet brush. The previously softened deposits should now come off easily.
- Flush the toilet: Finally, flush the toilet to remove any residue.
For particularly stubborn stains, you can make a paste of vinegar and baking soda and apply it directly to the affected areas before brushing.
This trick is not only cost-effective, but also more environmentally friendly and less aggressive than many commercially available cleaners. It helps to keep your toilet clean while eliminating stubborn debris.
