1 dishwasher tablet,
white vinegar,
cotton balls,
paper towels. Step-by-step trick:
Preheat the iron. Plug in the iron
and set it to maximum temperature. Important: Turn off the steam function to avoid accidents. Let the iron warm up for a moment.
Prepare the tablet.
Remove the packaging from the dishwasher tablet. The detergent contained within effectively removes residue.
Rub directly onto the heated soleplate.
Hold the soleplate gently (be careful not to burn yourself) and gently rub it against the heated soleplate. The heat will melt the soleplate in seconds and help remove embedded dirt. Pay particular attention to any black or rough areas.
Wipe with a paper towel.
Wipe with a paper towel to remove any melted residue. The soleplate should now have regained its shine.
Clean the steam vents.
Dip a cotton ball in a small amount of white vinegar and gently wipe each hole in the soleplate. The vinegar will dissolve any scale blocking the steam flow.
Finishing and drying.
Use a new paper towel to wipe the soleplate and dry the vents. The iron is now clean and smooth, ready for use.
