It preserves parsley and lasts you fresh for a year: the chefs’ method

parsley

How to store parsley

The first operation to be carried out is to wash the parsley in water. During this operation, you will remove leaves and branches that appear dry or damaged. After washing the parsley, spread it out to dry on a few sheets of paper towels.

Fill a water jar in half, better if the jar is made of glass because it is a material that helps better with food preservation. At this point, as if they were cut flowers, dip the parsley stems into the pot. Then, cover the tops with a plastic bag, from the ones for food, which are used for the freezer. Secure the plastic bag with an elastic band that is found on the top side of the pot.

With scissors, cut the two outer sides of the bag, to circulate the air. At this point, you can place the glass jar with the parsley inside, in the refrigerator. The ideal position, of course, will be the one dedicated to the bottles, on the inside door of the refrigerator.

If you don’t have enough space in the fridge, another way to make parsley last is to place it already cut in a glass jar. Before closing the jar, place a sheet of paper towels between the lid and the opening. The jar can be placed in the refrigerator, preferably upside down.
