Walnut Brownies

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 20cm square baking tin or line it with baking paper.
2. Melt the chocolate and butter: In a double boiler or in the microwave, melt the dark chocolate and butter together. Stir until smooth and homogeneous. Let it cool slightly.
3. Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, add the sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and mix well. Beat in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract and mix.
4. Add the dry ingredients: Sift the flour and salt into the chocolate mixture. Gently fold in the flour until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
5. Add the nuts: Roughly chop the nuts and fold them into the batter.
6. Pour the batter into the pan: Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
7. Bake: Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not too much batter).
8. Cool and serve: Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut them into squares and serve.
Extra tips: For an even richer texture, you can add chocolate chips to the batter. Serve these brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an even more indulgent dessert!
