Yogurt Cloud Cake: A Light and Fluffy Recipe

Step 2: Prepare the Yogurt Cloud Cake Dough

  1. Mix the liquid ingredients  :
    • In a large bowl, pour the  natural yogurt . Use the empty yogurt pot as a measure for the remaining ingredients.
    • Add the  eggs , vegetable oil  , and vanilla extract . Whisk until the mixture is smooth and slightly frothy.
  2. Add the sugar  :
    • Add the  2 pots of sugar  to the liquid mixture and whisk until it is well dissolved.
  3. Add the dry ingredients  :
    • In another bowl, sift the  flour ,  baking powder  and  salt .
    • Gradually add them to the liquid mixture while whisking to avoid lumps. Mix until you get a smooth, lump-free batter.
  4. Flavor the dough  :
    • If desired, add  lemon zest  to the batter for a fresh, tangy touch.

Step 3: Baking the Cake

  1. Pour the batter into the mold  :
    • Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and lightly smooth the surface with a spatula for even baking.
  2. Bake  :
    • Place the mold in the preheated oven and bake for  30 to 35 minutes .
    • Check the doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the cake. It should come out clean, a sign that the cake is cooked through.
  3. Cool the cake  :
    • Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it rest in the pan for  10 minutes .
    • Then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely before decorating.
