Step 2: Prepare the Yogurt Cloud Cake Dough
- Mix the liquid ingredients :
- In a large bowl, pour the natural yogurt . Use the empty yogurt pot as a measure for the remaining ingredients.
- Add the eggs , vegetable oil , and vanilla extract . Whisk until the mixture is smooth and slightly frothy.
- Add the sugar :
- Add the 2 pots of sugar to the liquid mixture and whisk until it is well dissolved.
- Add the dry ingredients :
- In another bowl, sift the flour , baking powder and salt .
- Gradually add them to the liquid mixture while whisking to avoid lumps. Mix until you get a smooth, lump-free batter.
- Flavor the dough :
- If desired, add lemon zest to the batter for a fresh, tangy touch.
Step 3: Baking the Cake
- Pour the batter into the mold :
- Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and lightly smooth the surface with a spatula for even baking.
- Bake :
- Place the mold in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes .
- Check the doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the cake. It should come out clean, a sign that the cake is cooked through.
- Cool the cake :
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes .
- Then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely before decorating.
